Medicare Supplements Plans

 1. You can go to any providers that accept Medicare.


 2. Insureds do not require to get referrals to specialist from their PCP.

 3. Have zero copays for provider appointments.

8. After enrolling in an Advantage Plan at age 65, changing to a Supplement after 12 months requires medical underwriting.

       Medicare Advantage Plans

 1. Require contracted Providers (Doctors and Hospitals) that can opt of plans any time that can leave insured without the provider.

 2. Insured is usually required to get referrals to specialist from their PCP.

 3. Insured is require copays for providers that can be as much as $400.

4. .Coverage does not move with you if you move out of the coverage area.

5. Plans change every year

6.Potentially higher overall costs if you have complex medical needs under an Advantage Plan.

7. Only emergencies are covered outside your coverage area.

8. No limitations.

9. Can require pre-approval and denials and use AI for denials.
